Keep searching. Somewhere online, someone has posted their English Flock Book pages
complete with notes up to that time.
Oh, that didn't even take long to find, it linked off of somewhere else, maybe I will get lucky to find the book pages with notes. .. but what notes are we talking about here?

the fundamental doctrines of the watchtower hinge on one teaching, and that is that jerusalem was destroyed in 607bce.

it is well documented by now that not one secular source supports the date given by the watchtower for the fall of jerusalem.

in the field of archaeology much work has been done since the 1800s when this date was first coined.

I am confused too. It is not clear at all. Christ is only going to have one second coming and the WTS has Christ returning a third time?

Well, here is the latest, of course I did not go, but the usual party did. Don't they not see that it is the same? Do they forget? Do they let it go in one ear and out the other? Does someone have the outline for the last year or two? That would be very interesting to show them that there is nothing new or special.

i have a thoughtful question.

when a jw dies and there is a funeral or memorial for them, just how much of that person is 'remembered" or talked about?

do they just have a funeral service for them, or do they turn the memorial into a wt study?

Well, as for me, I've been to one and that was plenty. I did not like the fact that only a brief (what seemed like a few minutes) was talked about the person. It seemed really rushed and organized as to time, just to rush into the publications teachings. Sure they say a lot of the person, but a persons funeral should be devoted just for them. And the "normal" funeral as you stated, where you just see the person laying there; I've been to many of those and I find those more dedicated to the person. It is that persons time to be remembered. The JW's funerals do not seem sincere enough to actually be for the person, but rather a reason to use their doctrines again.
Maybe the funeral you went to was the exception, but I think the majority here say it how it truly is.

i've only been to one memorial, and didn't follow up with the next weekend. I don't know how my friends and family do not know that all this "special" talk isn't nothing special. But I am looking for ways to show them that.
